Who am I?
I am originally from New York, so I have the New York City drive now tempered with a Midwest vibe. We moved to Illinois eleven years ago for work. I currently live in Naperville with my wife Chris, our two boys Miles and Sylas. We also have two little dogs - Gizmo and Zoey.
I genuinely love what I do. I try to make a difference every day. Little things like holding the door for someone, taking the time to explain how something works to a junior creative. Picking up grunt work, so a team member doesn't work all weekend by themselves, pushing the work, so it delivers results for a client.
I don't pretend to have all the answers or all the solutions. What I do have is the drive to get the answers. I know how to inspire people, build teams, and do work that gets results.
Management:
The number one reason why people quit their jobs is due to management. I have managed small groups and large groups, and when I lead people, I take it very seriously. When you invest in the people you work with, everyone benefits. Turnover costs time and money; building a productive environment is critical to the success of a team and business.
It’s really simple:
Happy people produce better work and when you believe in people, they will believe in you.
Process:
It all starts with the Marketing Funnel. If I asked you to design a room in a house but didn't tell you which room, it would be hard to know where to start. Knowing where you are in the Marketing Funnel gives you an understanding of what the purpose of the creative is, this is how I begin to approach work.
“I wish there were more creatives like you—you not only understand creative, but you also understand the client’s business needs and how to think about it strategically.”
